THE STORY OF DEBORAH ATOLWA OMIA
(75 YEARS OLD)

Deborah had been ailing for some time following arthritis that had taken a toll on her.

After numerous consultations with her doctor in Eldoret, it was agreed that she gets a hip replacement as the existing one was completely destroyed.

Later on,her condition worsened and she was readmitted to fix the other hip unfortunately she developed sepsis and stayed for close to 2months in the ICU fighting for her dear life.But we thank God she pulled through miraculously.

After discharged she could not walk since the prothesis had been removed and now confined on a wheelchair and homebase care recommended.

As a family we took we accepted the changes and took this as a divine ministry to stand in the gap for many like Deborah who cannot live quality life because of disabilities to provide necessary help .

The bills ran in millions and the walking aids were expensive to get and therefore Deborah disability foundation stands in the gaps to assist in mobilising funds and equipment to improve quality of life for people living with disabilities.
